The purpose of the Past President’s Parley (PPP) committee is to utilize the experience, knowledge and wisdom of members who have served in the high office of President in the Unit, District, Department or National. These leaders are urged to continue active service in the Auxiliary to ensure a strong leadership future for the organization. Past President’s on all levels are encouraged to continue supporting the organization by sharing their insight as a past leader and make a difference by developing and mentoring one member at a time. By joining the PPP, these leaders accept the responsibility to become an ambassador for the Auxiliary and share their knowledge to ensure a stronger Auxiliary and encourage membership through positivity. The Past Presidents Parley also recognizes and honors an outstanding unit member in through the Mentor Award.
OBJECTIVE:
• The objective of the Past President’s Parley is to encourage continued active service of Presidents at all levels.
• Honor and respect the vital contributions of Unit, District, Department and National Presidents.
• Recognizes the importance of the contributions of valued unit leaders through the “Mentor of the Year” award sponsored by the Past Department Presidents of Florida.
• Develop and create a Department Past Presidents Parley.
The Past President’s Parley committee is no longer a standing program on the National level. Our Department passed a resolution in 2023 at Department Convention to continue to offer the Past President’s Parley committee recognizing its importance to honor our Past Presidents’ and Unit leadership.
