Here in Florida:
Members of the American Legion Auxiliary in the Department of Florida believe that we are all leaders to some degree. We all have knowledge that we can share with each other … and we all must share that knowledge … thus enabling us to become better, more enlightened members.
Knowledgeable instructors travel to the 16 Districts and present Auxiliary Basic Concept Schools (aka ABC Schools). ABC Schools educate members about the basics of the American Legion Auxiliary: Make-up of the Auxiliary (National, Department, Districts, Units), who we are and what we do, who we do it for, the different programs, duties of officers; protocol, various levels of trainings available from the local to the national levels, and where to find the answers needed to do the job to the best of our ability.
Mentor and groom members to excel in their current roles while preparing to advance to higher levels within the organization;Â developing the leader within.
