LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT - HURRICANE HELENE

Florida has once again been severely impacted by another hurricane. Hurricane Helene has left some of our members facing much devastation. Loss of homes, furnishings, and even cars. So many have lost so much and some still can’t get to their homes or are without power. I was saddened at the loss of one of our members Rachel Burch from Unit 136, Saint James City. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
My heart goes out to the ones affected. We are Florida Strong and will do whatever we can do to help with this recovery as we have done in the past. We the champions of hope, and the architects of a brighter future. Together, we can rise, rebuild, and thrive once more.
Also, please note that we have our AEF, Disaster Relief and National AEF that you can apply for help. Please include pictures. Our Department AEF Chairman Kathy Helmy is here to assist you. If your spouse is a Legionnaire, the Legion also has National Emergency Fund (NEF).
